Emianth's Inspiration | Ki'ar | Hatching Log
Born at Monaco Bay Hold Kirar's dad was mate on the ship Wings Aloft and learned the lore of the sea at a very young age. He seemed a natural and picked up the lore quickly. When of an age Kirar went not on his father's ship but on the Leaping Shipfish as an apprentice. It was a tough apprenticeship but Kirar worked as hard as he could and soon was promoted to Sr. apprentice and then journeyman, the rank that he holds at present in the seacraft. He served on The Roaring Lion as navigator and was known for a knack for being able to find his way to the best fishing grounds, and avoid the worst of storms. Kirar was valued for his hard work and dedication to the ship and crew, but all that was to come to an end one late evening when Kirar and the captain had a disagreement over the course the captain wanted to take.
Kirar warned the captain that the course he wanted to take would end up with the ship wrecked on rocks but he was having none of it. So late that night after the Captain had gone to bed Kirar changed the course the ship was on thus avoiding sinking the ship and possibly killing the crew.
The Captian was furious when he woke to find that the ship's course had been changed without his orders, and Kirar was put ashore at the closest port which happened to be Ista weyr. A little out of sorts and unsure of what he was to do now that what he loved was out of his reach Kirar decided to settle at Ista at least for a little while till he could sort out what had just happened and he could decide what he was to do for the future.
All this was thrown out the window when he was searched by Coora's brown Sidaaeth and he became a candidate for the eggs that were on the sands. When all was said and done Ki'ar had impressed Emianth and the pair of them started out their new journey as weyrlings.
